Consulting Bio

Hi. I'm Paula! I created order and beauty in a 15+ year career as an expert professional home organizer across Canada. I founded, operated and sold Calgary's leading professional organizing company in 2016 and then created and operated the award-winning Align Home Organizing in Guelph, Ontario for 5 years before closing shop in 2021.

Prior to that I spent 5 years earning a Business Degree at Memorial University in my home town of St. John's, Newfoundland and shortly after attained the job titles of Executive Assistant and Event Coodinator for a non-profit homebuilding and renovation association, Eco-Store Manager for an urban environmental non-profit, Operations Supervisor for a hardwood flooring co, and Customer Services Manager for a world class fitness and recreation facility.

Today, I'm here to help alleviate the overwhelming tasks of business start up, growth, and exit by delivering strategy, elbow grease and an experienced perspective. Consider me your guide in achieving clarity, confidence and the perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics in your online presence. This life transition is the perfect opportunity to unleash your authentic self. Combining my high attention to detail and client care orientation with my gift of asking all the right questions, I'm here to propel you where you want to go.

When I'm not reveling in your becoming, you'll find me camping in the wilds of Canada, gathering with friends over food, deepening my spiritual connectedness, scheduling in meditation but not quite getting there, and planning my next sun-drenched travel adventure.
Consulting Reviews
"Paula does everything wholeheartedly, takes care of all the details and creates excellence in all she does. She taught me the what, how and when of owning a small business, and then I was able to pick her brain in phone calls about anything I wasn’t confident on. During this time I was able to learn from Paula’s experience instead of having to make mistakes and learn on my own. This was invaluable! If you are interested in working with Paula, you can be assured that you are getting high quality content and great support. With the encouragement and confidence Paula gave my husband and I, we were able to push into a potential we had always wanted to pursue."

"Paula was very helpful in the early stages of launching my business. She helped me get clear on what I was offering and she easily translated this clarity onto the web by crafting a beautiful website. The whole process was easier than I thought, and a great experience working with her."
- Scott, Ontario, Canada

"Paula helped me make my website and social media page for my business. She was very professional and listened to what I wanted and made my vision come to life. I would highly recommend Paula if you are looking for someone to help you!"

"I have had the pleasure of working alongside Paula and it has truly been the most amazing experience! It can be so overwhelming to start out and begin something new, but Paula is such a gentle soul and has such a big heart that working with her made me feel comfortable so quickly. With her incredible leadership and mentoring skills, she has introduced me in a way that has given me space to learn and grow at my own pace and in a way that accommodates how I personally learn. Her experience and amazing reputation is a testament to the incredible human that she is! I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from Paula and there's no one I would recommend more!"

The Difference between a Consultant and a Coach
A business coach helps you reach your goals through support and encouragement, as well as helping you determine what’s working and what isn’t. They help you improve as the leader of your business through development, insight, direction and accountability. They focus on things like time management, motivation, uncovering mental or emotional blocks, and action planning.
In contrast, a business consultant brings a hands-on approach in improving systems and structures. A consultant helps you gain clarity on goals and then analyzes what you're currently doing to find areas of improvement. Consultants then identify business solutions and tasks to be performed and can actually collaborate with you to complete the work.
A coach is about accountability while a consultant is about collaboration. Many business owners benefit from hiring both a coach and a consultant.

How a business name can reflect your journey.
Entrepreneurship can offer you a full length mirror into yourself. Here's my experience:
When I drove across Canada in 2005 to start my first business 'Room to Breathe', I learned that I too was creating room to breathe in my own life. I let go of old limiting family patterns and was better able to listen for what called me. I successfully sold that company in 2016 and moved again to start the award-winning 'Align' Home Organizing only to realize that next chapter of my life was about alignment - shifting, calibrating and stepping into the fullness of my true nature. Somewhere in the midst of those two ventures, I had two side gigs named 'Free to Be Me' and 'Annitcha' (which means "everything is changing"). What a laugh I get to take in hindsight seeing how my offerings to the world were actually gifts to myself. That's how I see entrepreneurship - helping others along the path we've just traveled ourselves, or are maybe traversing in this present moment.
Now my manifestations all come through paulablundell.com because here I am in my ever-evolving wholeness. I hope this gives you insight into your own business naming. If you need help chossing a name for your venture, email me to request the freebie business naming guide.
